THE PROCESS OF OUR TRADE

MIKE

In 2017, Mike began his career at Minor Jewelry as an Apprentice, without any prior experience as a jeweler. Six years later, Jesus has helped him become an accomplished artisan from sizing rings and setting diamonds to full jewelry restoration.

IISHA

I have a thirst for learning new skills! While taking a break from patternmaking and sewing for the music industry over the last 15 years, I am enjoying the process of increasing my knowledge as a maker.  Two days a week I am working as an Apprentice at Minor Jewelry.  Jesse Minor, the proprietor and jeweler, who is also known as “The Watch Whisperer”, believes in the importance of teaching skills, especially to our youth.  There will always be a need for jewelry repair work, custom jewelry design, and watch servicing and repair.

JAKE

There are too many fun things to do and experience! While studying Music Business at Belmont University, I found I had a passion for creating and working with my hands.  My favorite part about working at Minor Jewelry is how close we all are with each other and the relationships we form with our customers. It’s one big happy family! I am working hard to master all the processes of our trade to have the skills to bring ideas on paper into a beautiful piece of art!

JESSE

Since the age of 10, Jesse Minor worked alongside his father learning the art of watchmaking. After graduating high school, he attended trade school to officially become a 3rd generation jeweler and watchmaker. He has successfully owned and operated Minor Jewelry for 37 years.
